
About Me
Alexandria Manthey is a senior Journalism major with a Public Relations minor at Kent State University in the School of Media and Journalism. Alexandria works for KSU student media, TV2 News. She has served as News Director for two semesters, anchored, reported, and produced live newscasts along with working on the Digital Content team through TV2 News and KentWired.com. She has professional experience as a News Intern at WFMJ in Youngstown, OH. Alexandria placed as a top 20 finalist for the 2022 Hearst Feature TV Journalism Award.
Alex has used her public relations minor to gain experience in the 2023 national PRSSA Bateman competition. She works as the current social media coordinator for her student-led campaign.
Alexandria grew up in Oregon, Ohio, and graduated from Clay High School. She knew she wanted to pursue a career in journalism from a young age and has worked hard to make this dream a reality.
Alexandria has quickly developed her skills in the newsroom and considers herself to be dedicated, responsible, and a great team player. Alexandria has a passion for storytelling and delivering daily headlines and current events. She dreams of becoming a MultiMedia journalist after graduation.
